Lucia was a very intelligent girl. She liked school, she always imagined that she would continue studying.
 Lucia wanted to be a great teacher.
Education in the village of Lucia was not good, she married when she was 15, she finished primary school but not secondary.

Lucia´s mother thought that women were only good for serving the husband. Lucia was sad, when she had her first child,

She understood that history had to change.
Lucia and her husband thought that education was important because it would change society.
This story is the story of many women in Santa Cruz.
